Austin Healey is founded in 1952 by a joint venture between the Austin division of BMC and the Donald Healey Motor Company.In 1966 BMC Merged with Jaguar and in 1968 Healey joined with Jensen Motors.In 1972 after 20 years of partnership the agreement came to a end and they stopped producing the Austin Healey cars.

In the relative short periode that the brand was active there where also on the race track.Austin Healey raced at LeMans , Sebring and Classic Rallies.In 1953 they even had a special streamlined car for several Land Speed Records at the Bonneville Salt Flats.
